PROFILE:
Dr. Ravi M. Damodaran was the Chief Technology Officer at Greaves Cotton Ltd., Pune for nearly 4 yr before he quit to join Ekaagra in a consulting role in Jan 22. He is a recognized thought leader in the automotive industry, and has delivered keynote addresses at several national and international seminars.
He was earlier President, Technology & Strategy at Varroc, a $ 1 Billion auto parts maker for about six years; he also was on their board. A seasoned globetrotter, he is very familiar with the international business landscape. Ravi is responsible for scripting Varroc’s strategy to achieve its 2020 vision as well as improving Varroc’s technology prowess to achieve and sustain market leadership in its product lines. Ravi has over 20 years of experience in the industrial sector, having held positions in Technology, Business, Program Management, Engineering and Operations.
Previous to his current position at Varroc, Ravi worked at Delphi for 10 years, most recently as the Country
Manager for the Powertrain business in India. Prior to his time at Delphi, Ravi worked with GE India
Technology Centre for their Plastics and Power Systems business. Ravi is also a Six Sigma Master Black
Belt from GE’s prestigious Leadership Training Institute at Crotonville, US.
Ravi graduated from I.I.T. Roorkee in Metallurgical Engineering in 1987, and completed a Ph.D. from the
University of Florida in Materials Science in 1996.
